Marking the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE) has organized a number of Ramadan activities as part of an Iftar initiative launched concurrently with the Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which falls on Ramadan 19th to commemorate the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah have mercy upon him.

The MOHRE and its affiliated customer happiness centers organized during Ramadan a variety of humanitarian activities for workers as part of its community participation aimed at promoting human fraternity among all members of the society, said Mariam Majed Bin Thaniah, Director of Government Communication's Department at MOHRE.

Bin Thaniah explained that the MOHRE pays special attention to providing humanitarian support to workers, thereby underscoring their active role in development in collaboration with the MOHRE’s partners and a number of charities.

The MOHRE, in co-operation with the Beit Al Khair Society, implemented an Iftar initiative for more than 1,000 workers in Ras Al Khaimah with voluntary participation of a number of employees, she said.

She pointed out that the MOHRE affiliated customer happiness center in Ajman, in co-operation the Ajman Society of Social and Cultural Development, organized an activity marking Zayed Humanitarian Work Day where recharge cards and Iftar meals were distributed on workers.

In this connection, the MOHRE affiliated customer happiness centers in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Fujairah organized a number of activities as part of an Iftar campaign. In collaboration with the Red Crescent Society and the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, the centers visited worksites and distributed Iftar meals, juices and Eid clothing on workers with the participation of a number of MOHRE employees.
