Celebratory events for workers to be organised in 10 locations across the UAE during Eid Al-Adha holiday
A series of celebratory events dedicated to workers are set to take place in 10 locations across the UAE during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, held under the slogan ‘Eid with Our Workers: Joy and Happiness’.
Activities are organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), in collaboration with the Ministry’s partners, including the Ministry of Interior; the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security; the General Commands of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah Police; and municipalities across the country.
Partners also include Abu Dhabi Ports Group; the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai; Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority; Dubai Civil Defence; the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in the Emirate of Dubai; the Events Security Committee (ESC); Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA); Sharjah’s Labour Standards Development Authority; the National Ambulance; Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services; and Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ).
MoHRE invited private sector companies and labour accommodation facilities that are interested in having their workers participate in the festivities to visit the website eidaladha2025.ensure.ae, where they could select an event based on geographical location to facilitate smooth coordination and participation in the planned activities across the 10 designated sites nationwide.
His Excellency Mohsin Ali Al Nassi, MoHRE’s Assistant Undersecretary for Inspection and Compliance, said: “The celebratory activities form part of our approach at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to spread happiness among workers with innovative initiatives that enhance their integration in the community and include them in national occasions and public holidays. We view workers as a cornerstone of the UAE’s sustainable development and an integral part of the country’s labour market.”
For her part, Her Excellency Dalal Alshehhi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Protection at MoHRE, said: “The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation takes every opportunity to reconnect with workers, in a bid to cement the values of cooperation and partnership. The Ministry is committed to these social and humanitarian campaigns, given their notable role in promoting worker satisfaction and engagement, which, in turn, reflects positively on the labour market. Furthermore, these initiatives embody the UAE’s pioneering humanitarian and social approach in the labour market.”
The agenda of events features celebrations, competitions, awards, and recreational sports tournaments and activities, as well as visits from MoHRE leaders and partners to engage with workers.
