Member countries in “Abu Dhabi Dialogue” meet and discuss to benefit of the summit’s outcomes.

Ministers of member countries of (Abu Dhabi Dialogue) who are interested with labor files conducted a meeting on the sideline of their participation in the World Government Summit, in which they have discussed the possible ways they could employ and benefit from the summit’s outcomes, to unify their various visions and improve collaboration to face future challenges of labour that witnessed very important discussions among the summit’s works.

Ministers of member countries of (Abu Dhabi Dialogue) who are interested with labor files conducted a meeting on the sideline of their participation in the World Government Summit, in which they have discussed the possible ways they could employ and benefit from the summit’s outcomes, to unify their various visions and improve collaboration to face future challenges of labour that witnessed very important discussions among the summit’s works.

Ministers from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Phillipin, Sri Lanka, Thailand and the UAE participated in this meeting.

Abu Dhabi Dialogue, which was launched after an initiative by the UAE back in 2008, is a collaborative governmental approach aims to address the improvement and development in temporary labor mobilities in Asia and broaden the base for common understanding of issues and to influence practices and policies in the area of contractual labour for those countries.

Sri Lanka is now heading the Dialogue which in its internal system approves a two year presidential round from its member countries, while the UAE hosts the Dialogue which is considered to be one of the most important international approaches that deals with labour.

Support

Minister of Human Resources & Emiratization, His Excellency Nasser bin Thani Al Hameli assured during the meeting the continuation of the UAE’s support for Abu Dhabi Dialogue, due to its efficient role in improving the dual and multiple collaboration between country members, in a way that increases and improves the benefits of labour mobilities movement between those countries.

Investment

His Excellency pinned out the importance of member countries’ investment in “Abu Dhabi Dialogue” and “The Future of Jobs Forum” which was organized in collaboration with the International Labour Organization among the World Government Summit list of works, especially that it watches the future of jobs and labour relations under this industrial revolution and the accelerated technological development. Moreover it looks into the reformation of work frames within countries to increase their flexibility in work markets, encourage new employing patterns and improve skills to face upcoming future challenges within the market.
