Change of Employer for a Domestic Worker

The Ministry provides this service to employers wishing to change the employer of their domestic workers inside the country (change their status).

Conditions & Requirements

  1. The employer's passport must be valid

  1. The employer's Emirates ID must be valid

  1. The resident employer / investor must possess a valid residence visa

  1. The proposed worker's passport must be valid for at least three months

  1. Note: Change of status is valid for 60 days from the date of issuance, thus fines will be imposed on domestic workers after this period.

  1. All Emirates except the Emirate of Dubai: 515 dirhams
  2. The Emirate of Dubai: 535 dirhams
  3. Business Centers commission is capped at 72 dirhams
  4. Except for federal charges, the service is free of charge via MOHRE's website and smart app.
  5. *Please note that the fees shown above do not include tax and collection charges.
