MOHRE showcases its services at World Tolerance Summit

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) showcased a range of its human rights services and initiatives on the sidelines of its participation in the two-day World Tolerance Summit held in Mina A’ Salam, Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.

“The MOHRE’s sponsorship of the World Tolerance Summit and its participation in its activities come as part of its keenness on joining hands in the national efforts to promote tolerance values among members of the society as well as mutual respect and acceptance of others’ views in line with the objectives of the National Agenda and the UAE Vision 2021 aimed at promoting these human values in the UAE society,” Noura Al Marzouqi, Assistant Undersecretary for Policy and Strategy at MOHRE, said.

Al Marzouqi affirmed that the MOHRE is continuing to apply and develop the policies and programs aimed at promoting tolerance in the labor market and hence raising awareness of rights and duties and guaranteeing them to both parties as stipulated in the employment contracts, which are based on the Employment Relations Act and the resolutions implementing it.

Through its booth at the World Tolerance Summit, the MOHRE showcased the services provided by its Tawjeeh service centers, which include orientation, raising awareness of labor law and familiarizing workers with the UAE culture and history and the traditions prevailing in the society. The MOHRE also showcased the necessary guidelines and awareness about how to innovatively communicate with it in 16 languages.

In addition, the MOHRE showcased its hotline 80060 service and Twafouq service centers, which constitute an integrated system for receiving and discussing labor complaints by allowing employers and workers to file complaints through its hotline service, where they are registered and attempted to be settled within 48 hours.  Complaints that cannot be settled are referred to the Twafouq centers where they are discussed as per the dates suitable for both litigating parties. If no settlement is reached, the complaints will be referred to the competent courts of law.

The MOHRE also showcased its services and facilities provided to domestic workers through its Ghanayem card, which is a smart electronic wallet of multiple features with a package of services including salary transfer from an employer to a domestic worker. Through this card, a domestic worker can transfer money to his home country, apply for accident insurance service, benefit from a package of discounts and offers on financial transactions and shop online.
