MOHRE calls on establishments to take preventive measures to protect workers from the effects of Tropical Cyclone Shaheen

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has called on establishments and businesses in regions of the country that may be affected by Tropical Cyclone Shaheen to take all appropriate preventive measures to protect workers from occupational hazards and injuries that may result from the tropical cyclone and to stop work if necessary.

The ministry's call was made in coordination with the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority and is based on the UAE's commitment to ensure the health and safety of all workers in the labour market.

The Ministry pointed out the need to ensure the safety of busses used to transport workers and to take preventive measures to ensure the safety of workers on their way to and from work.

The Ministry reiterated its confidence in the awareness of employers and their concern for the health and safety of workers in their workplaces, especially in times of weather changes.
