Working hours in private sector reduced during Ramadan

Saturday, 25 April 2020

It has been resolved to reduce the normal working hours for all workers in the UAE private sector establishments by two hours daily during the holy month of Ramadan 1441 AH.

This came in a ministerial circular issued by H.E. Nasser Bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in implementation of the Federal Law No. 8 for 1980 on regulation of labor relations.

The circular stressed the necessity for establishments to take all precautions and preventive measures observed in the UAE to protect workers and customers from the novel COVID-19.
